Our farm

Feather Hill Farm is located in the town Chatham NY.

Our farm produces high quality fresh flowers. Everything that we produce is organic - we do not use synthetic pesticides or synthetic fertilizer. We also use soil building techniques such a cover crops and composting to improve our soil. We control pests and diseases using cultural and biological methods These organic practices ensure that we are stewards of our farmland, committed to leaving behind better soil for future farmers.

How Feather Hill Farm came about

Feather Hill Farm was established in 2022 and started selling with a roadside stand selling our beautiful fresh organic flowers. It is a result of Adele’s love for all things in nature and organic sustainable practices. We also sell in local farmers markets and events. We offer CSA subscriptions for your convenience with local delivery.

Adele was a award winning interior designer for 25 years. While working she attended collage to study horticulture. A new career path was found and so Feather Hill Farm was born. She made the decision to use her land and labor to bring beautiful fresh organic flowers into your house.

Giving your Flowers a Long Vase Life

Use the flower food provided. Your flowers will benefit from having food to live longer and look better. Flower food should be used according to the directions. This nutrition will help your flowers keep their color and continue to open. It prevents bacteria from developing and stems from becoming clogged.

Check to make sure your flowers always have plenty of water. These fresh flowers drink a lot! After a few days, gather the bouquet in your hand and lift the flowers out of the vase. Trim 1-2" off the stems. Rinse the vase and refill it with clean water. Remove any old blooms and replace your bouquet in the vase.

Keep your flowers out of direct sunlight and away from ripening fruit.
